This alone will require monthly attention to ensure the water levels are as they should be.

They can be a decent option for those who want an off-grid system that they do not have to keep checking on. Still, they aren’t as reliable and are suspectable to overcharging because of their low charging voltage.
To top it all off, they are pretty expensive compared to flooded lead-acid batteries.
AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat)
Another lead-acid battery the battery plates are separated by a glass mat. Better for warmer climates as they can tolerate warmer conditions better than a lot of other batteries and require less maintenance since they do not leak. A lot of people like them because they are lighter, less bulky and have a good lifespan.
Popular but can be more expensive, they have a large storage capacity, are reliable and require very little maintenance. Also known for being efficient in how they use the power, Lithium-ion batteries are arguably the best solar battery available.
A great option as they last a long time but expect the initial outlay to be a lot higher than the other options.
