SECTIONMAP
AFTER-IMAGES After-images are illusions that keep on going after you stop looking. When you look at something your eye "takes a picture" of the object using millions of light receptors. When you stop looking your light receptors are still excited, and continue to send weak signals to the brain. Your brain interprets these weak, remnant signals as after-images. We can take a peek at these signals using after-images. After-images always occur in the opposite color of the original target color.
