The Magic Square

This magic square might be called a reversible, ambi-numeric key pad. Here is how it works. Add the 4 numbers in any row together, backwards or forwards, up or down, or diagonally. The total will always be 264.

As if that were not astounding enough. Pass your mouse over the image to view the grid up-side down, and backwards.

When viewed in this way, the 9's become 6's, The 6's become 9's, and the 1's and 8's stay the same. Now try adding up the numbers in a few rows again. They still add up to 264! The magic number.
